It’s impossible to realise what happened where you ended
Statements are stark in black and white and steal our breath, punch us in the throat and tear tears from our eyes
Your stories are inconceivable and we drown when we try to contain them in bottles.
We recognise the salience of our intention so we try but our words won’t hold till we finish our sentence
So we pray that you know that we know
And we surrender our calm willingly
In the hope that it’ll reach you
And that you’re resting in prayer blankets, in an ever-loved, remembered, eternal place.
